On this warm sunny evening, 18 team members provided safety cover for the Hendersons End Fell Race which is organised by the Lostock Athletics Club. Control was set up at Lower House car park and team members were positioned along the route in team vehicles.
The race started at 7.30pm and 94 runners participated in this 6.8 mile race which starts at Rivington Hall Barn, climbs to the Pigeon Tower followed by Rivington Pike then along Georges Lane, up to Two Lads and finally Winter Hill summit and returns along a similar route.
One minor injury was dealt with by the team, a fell runner took had taken a fall along the route and injured his arm but managed to continue and complete the race. Thankfully the race was a success and passed without serious injuries or incidents.
