Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

At approximately 14.30 we were contacted by North West Ambulance service to assist with an incident in Philips Park, Whitefield. A mountain biker had fallen and was injured on a steep slope in the Stand/Outwood area of Philips Park near the M60 motorway. An ambulance crew had arrived on scene and had requested help, Helimed was also on route.

The call was taken by Deputy Team Leader Chris Greenhalgh, 3 team vehicles were quickly mobilised and thirteen team members responded to this incident.

On the teams arrival, the casualty had been placed on an ambulance scoop stretcher, team members worked alongside the ambulance crew, Helimed Crew and NWAS HEART team to carry the patient down various paths, across the motorway footbridge and over a fence to the waiting ambulance. The incident was complete and team members left scene at 16.30.
