Today saw the team visiting Horwich Parish Primary School. After cancelling the visit in the morning due to the teams ongoing search for young girl in Cheshire, thankfully the girl was found in the morning, so contact was made with the school and we were able to attend the school as originally arranged by teacher Stephen Banner.
Paul Copley, Steven Fletcher and Matt Hailwood met the pupils on the school field firstly meeting reception and year 1, followed by years 3 and 4 finally years 2, 5 and 6.
The team told the children what we did with the team and spoke about being safe on the hills and around water.
A small stretcher carry was undertaken with each group with the customary teacher as a exercise casualty followed by a question and answer session.
Lastly we met with the schools safety council for a question and answer session and showed the safety council the contents of the team vehicles.
Paul, Steven and Matt would like to thank the school and the pupils for their great welcome and for their great interest in the team.
A special thanks to the 3 unsuspecting teachers who ended up on the stretcher acting as exercise casualties.
