At approximately 10:20 this morning the team was contacted by Greater Manchester Police to assist them in the search for a missing 41 year old female.

While the team was mustering at the rendezvous point in the Hindley area of Wigan information was received from the police that the person had been located safe and well.

The resources responding to assist with the search were as follows:

• 12 Bolton Mountain Rescue Team
• Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team
• Cheshire Search and Rescue Team
• 2 Air Scenting search dogs from SARDA England
• 1 Trailing search dog from Bolton Mountain Rescue Team & SARDA Wales
• 1 Drowned Victim Search Dog from SARDA Ireland North

All resources stood down while responding to the incident.
