Today the team took part in a joint training exercise with members of RAF Valley Mountain Rescue Team who were in the area training this weekend.

Four members of Bolton Mountain Rescue Team met at Anglezarke quarries to participate in rope rescue stretcher lower and raise techniques.

Both teams discussed each others various rope rescue systems and later Bolton members joined in with RAF Valley team members, firstly with a vertical stretcher lower and raise followed by a demonstration of a horizontal stretcher lower and raise.

Grateful thanks from the Bolton members to Si Moore and the members of RAF Valley for the opportunity to take part in this instructive and enjoyable training day.
