Yesterday evening fourteen Scouts, Leader Kathryn, and some Parents from 20th Bolton Scout Troop visited our HQ and were welcomed by our team members, Paul Copley (Equipment Officer – HQ & Catering) and Heath Doran. The following is a report from Paul on the event:-
The Scouts had a chat about the team with Paul and Heath followed by the showing of a Mountain Rescue film about our work and a questions and answers session after the viewing. Heath then showed the Scouts what team members carry in their rucksacks. The Scouts were then taken down to the garage where they were shown the team kit in the Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulances, the vehicles themselves, and had a look at the vacuum splints and were told about the kit we carry. Paul and Heath received great feedback from the night, not only from the Scouts but from the adults attending too.
At the end of the evening, Scout Leader Kathryn presented the team with a fantastic donation of £50 from the Troop. On behalf of the team, Paul and Heath would like to thank 20th Bolton Scout Troop for their generosity and participation in a great night for all.
