Our great friend and supporter, John Barlow of Edgworth, has sent us a fantastic donation of £350 raised from the sale of his book entitled “The History of the Pubs of Edgworth”. John, who is the former Chairman of Edgworth Real Ale Festival Committee, chose this year’s Festival in September to launch his book and announced that monies raised from sales would be shared equally between Bolton Mountain Rescue Team and Bolton Breast Cancer Care Unit.

He added in his letter that it was good to re-acquaint himself with members of our Team at the Edgworth Real Ale Festival this year, and we “are simply brilliant people who continue to do an amazing job”. He passes on his best wishes to us all for a very enjoyable Christmas and a peaceful New Year and we would like to offer the same wishes to him and his family along with our sincere thanks for his very generous donation.
