At 16:16 today the team were contacted by our neighbouring team Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team to assist in a rescue of a 72 year old male who had suffered a leg injury in the Edenfield Area of Lancashire.

The RVP was the Owd Betts pub, with seven Bolton Mountain Rescue Team members responding to assist with this incident.

Whilst en-route to this incident, the news came through that the North West Air Ambulance had managed to reach the casualty, so our team members stood down responding.
