At 14:50 today the team were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service for assistance with a casualty reportedly injured in the Yarrow Reservoir.
Yarrow Reservoir is in the area of our neighbouring team, Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team, but there was uncertainty on the location so a dual response was made.
A woman had suffered a suspected mini stroke whilst out walking with her husband in the Lead Mines Valley.
14 team members responded, assisting the team members from Bowland Pennine MRT who had reached the incident site first. Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team also attended this incident.
The lady and her husband were transported to Allance Bridge in our Land Rover Ambulance, before onward travel in a land ambulance to hospital.
The team would like to wish the lady a speedy recovery.
