On 16th June team members Paul Copley, Heath Doran, Martin Battersby and John Ryan visited Marsh Green Primary School, Wigan, where team member and Chair Gill Leigh is headteacher.

The school were holding ‘A Great Get Together’ in memory of MP Jo Cox, to promote greater community cohesion. The event was also supported by members of St Barnabas Church, Fur Clempt and Wigan Warriors.

The team LandRover was a firm favourite with many pupils who enjoyed looking at the equipment, sitting in the drivers seat and even carrying the stretcher.

The community of Marsh Green extended their thanks to the team for taking part and supporting this event.
