Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

10th March 2011

This afternoon the Team was visited at their Ladybridge Hall Base by a class of Y6 pupils from Gilnow Primary School. The pupils accompanied by their teacher Mrs Deborah Docherty, Teaching Assistants Miss Hil Farr and Miss Lauren Swallow.

The pupils and their Teachers had walked from their school to the Team’s Base and were met by the Team’s President , Bob Hutchinson and Life Vice President, Tony McNally. Bob and Tony spoke to the children about the work that Mountain Rescue teams undertake and answered the many eager questions from the children who showed great interest in the work of the Team. The children then had the opportunity to look around the Base, again showing much interest in the range of equipment that the Team has. Finally the children looked at the Team’s Land Rovers based at Ladybridge Hall before finally saying goodbye.

The Team would like to thank the school for the interest they have shown in our Team and to congratulate them all on their good behavior and manners they all showed during their visit to our Base.
