Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

28th January 2018

Today the team welcomed Nicholas Gray from UKdi Ltd to view a stretcher he has developed.

The Recovery+ stretcher can be configured in a number of ways with hinges allowing the stretcher to transport a patient in a sitting position, with strap attachments for securing casualties during transport and carrying handles able to be attached flexibly at any point.

The stretcher was introduced during our equipment maintenance day, with a number of team members showing interest in the stretcher, with Nick answering questions on how the stretcher works.

The team has the stretcher on trial for a couple of weeks to see if there are any practical uses in a mountain rescue environment the stretcher can meet.

We would like to also thank Steve Adams from the Innovation Agency, the Academic Health Science Network for the North West Coast for facilitating the meeting today.
