At 12:25 hours today our Team Leader was directly contacted by NWAS (Lancashire) to attend a residential address on a steeply sloping housing estate in Darwen, where a 70 year old woman required stretcher evacuation from her property to a waiting NWAS (Lancashire) Emergency Ambulance.

A full team callout message was made at 12:35 hours, resulting in 11 team members responding over a 2 hours 30 minutes period to stretcher sledge the lady concerned through deep snow to the waiting ambulance.

This was the same woman in the same location as incident 88/2010.
