Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

3rd August 2010

Today our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE journeyed to the Knutsford branch of the British Red Cross to meet with Richard Hankins, Head of Event First Aid BRC, to further discuss the teams involvement in a British Red Cross filming project illustrating the work of colleague emergency services and allied organisations, and how they may interact with the British Red Cross.

Richard a former Bolton MRT team member, invited the Bolton MRT to feature in the film to represent and discuss the work and role of MRTs in the UK, illustrating MRTs involvement in incidents away from their core remit of mountain and moorland search and rescue, alongside explaining their primary operational role.

Greater Manchester Police have already featured in the filming schedule, with ourselves lined up to be filmed on the same day as Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.

Garry our Team Leader commented that this filming project further illustrates the increasing close liaisons that are now in place between all the organisations that often come together on a wide range of operational incidents.

Keep watching our website for news of the filming, in the meantime Garry is in make up ready for lights, camera, action and yet more stardom.
