At 05.12hrs this morning, Greater Manchester Police paged the team regards possible assistance with a search operation to locate two missing persons (missing together) in the Prestwich area.

The team was put on initial standby by pager at 05.20hrs whilst our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE liaised further with a GMP Missing Person Search Manager and our Deputy Team Leader Geoff Seddon.

Following these discussions it was decided at this stage not to deploy the team until more definite search areas could be defined to deploy the team into.

At 05.58hrs this morning the team membership was paged to confirm that at this stage there was no requirement for the team to mobilise.

Further discussions between our Team Leader and GMP have taken place this morning regards these missing persons.

These actions to date have not been recorded by the team within our incident figures.
