This evening our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE and Senior Team member Mike Marsh were honoured guests at the President’s Evening of the Bolton and District Hospital Saturday Council.
Invited to attend this buffet evening and presentation of charitable donations by outgoing President of the Bolton and District Hospital Saturday Council, David Vause, Garry and Mike joined members of the Bolton and District HSC and other invited guests at Brookfield Masonic Hall, Peel street, Westhoughton.
Outgoing President David Vause and Trevor Nichols, Chief Executive of the Bolton and District HSC presented on behalf of the Bolton and District HSC and its Charity Committee, donations to a number of local charities, including our Team, which received a very generous and kind £500.00 donation.
Other charities benefitting from the kindness of the Bolton and District HSC this evening were;
- Firwood House
- Children Today
- Bolton Cog
- Bolton Hospitals Bereavement and Benevolent Fund
- the North West Air Ambulance
- Royal Bolton Hospital Maternity Unit
Following the charity donations all present were entertained by the excellent ’Fred Shawcross and Geriatrics Jazz Band.’
The whole team membership is extremely grateful to the Bolton and District Hospital Saturday Council and its Charity Committee for supporting the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team in this very kind way.
