Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

9th July 2009

This evening at our quarterly Greater Manchester Emergency Services Liaison meeting between MRTs working in Greater Manchester, mainly Bolton MRT, Rossendale and Pendle MRT and Oldham MRT and GMP, NWAS and GMFRS, we learnt of an excellent article on the three aforementioned teams in the June edition of ’brief,’ the voice of Greater Manchester Police, GMPs in house staff magazine.

Written by GMP Search Manager Angela Daniels and GMP Force Search Coordinator Inspector Tony Darbyshire, with information provided by RPMRTs Team Leader Andy Simpson, the article explains the role of MRTs in Greater Manchester promoting not just their missing person search role with GMP, but also our much wider rescue role, and how we can be called out to assist GMP Officers in dynamic search and rescue situations.

Hopefully the work of all three MRTs in assiting GMP can be featured on a regular basis in ’brief.’
