Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

14th May 2009

Today the team received a new ’Casualty Bag’ from our national body, Mountain Rescue England and Wales, as part of a national issue of one new casualty bag to each MRT in England and Wales.

This new casualty bag, essentially a large all round zipper access weatherproof / windproof sleeping bag, though it is much more than this, incorporating carrying handles and compression straps, and made out of very robust materials, has been grant funded through our national body, and is the result of many years of trial and tests to improve upon previous designs.

The new casualty bag is manufactured by Aiguille Alpine in Cumbria, and comes complete to our team and all others in a purpose designed heavy duty carry bag / rucksac.

The team is grateful to our national body Mountain Rescue England and Wales for the donation of this important and vital piece of kit.
