Tonight at 19:48 Hrs, North West Ambulance Service (Greater Manchester) paged the team for assistance with a rope swing faller accident in Worsley Woods, Worsley.
A full Team Call Out was paged at 19:54, by which time some team members were already at our Ladybridge Hall Base, waiting for further details on the incident.
As team members were responding to the incident location, NWAS (GMA) paged a Stand Down at 19:58 Hrs, as the casualty had made their own way towards the responding ambulance with the help of his friends. At the time of stand down, team member Alan James had arrived at the RVP. As the casualty was being treated by the ambulance crew, Alan gave a lift to the friends of the casualty to Salford (Hope) Hospital, a typical gesture of kindness by Alan, who is also one of the founder team members.
In total 27 team members responded, together with 2 of our Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulances, about to depart our base.
