Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

8th April 2009

We recently reported a kind bequest of £300 following the recent death of Mrs Marjorie Baggley who in her will instructed a donation of £300 to the team. See news article dated 1st April 2009.

Today we received further information regarding this request from the daughter of Mrs Baggley, Mrs C Freeborn.

Mrs Freeborn explained that her mother loved walking in the hills around Bolton and was always glad to know that there would be help-on-hand if ever she needed it.

She also informed us that her mother knew all about the voluntary work of mountain rescue through family connections with another rescue team.

We are grateful to Mrs Freeborn for writing to us to explain the circumstances of this very kind bequest.
