Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

22nd March 2009

Team member Peter Heeley this afternoon completed the fourth weekend intensive driver training course kindly organised by Lancashire Constabulary driver training school.

In the company of one member each of our colleagues from Bowland Pennine and Rossendale Pendle Mountain Rescue Teams, in a vehicle supplied by Rossendale and Pendle MRT under the expert tuition of trainers from the Lancashire Constabulary Driver Training School, the trio attended a number of class room and practical driving sessions with an aim to increase their driving awareness.

On the course, Peters driving was scrutinsed by the officers, with tips given on how to improve his driving style, which can be used not only when driving the team Landrover Ambulances, but is also useful when driving private vehicles.

With very grateful thanks to Lancashire Constabulary and their driving school instructors the following Bolton team members have now benefited from this valuable course, Steve Fletcher, Mike Higginbottom, Paul Brain and now Peter Heeley.
