Today team member (who is also our Team Vehicle Officer) Chris Greenhalgh journeyed with BM5 (as the Hummer is known within the team, BM5 being its radio callsign) to Curley’s Fisheries Off Chorley Old Road, Bolton. The manager and staff here are very supprtive of the team and have a collection box based here in their cafe. The team regularly call at Curleys cafe for a well earned meal on a Sunday afternoon after training or on our way back from incidents. Pictured is Steve Kershaw the owner and manager and Mick Cunningham the Chief Groundsman.
Later in the afternoon Chris was joined by fellow team member Matthew Hailwood and travelled to Top Shop Grocers and Off License on Belmont Road in Bolton. They were greeted by the owner and 3 members of staff who were all more than happy to have their picture taken alongside the Hummer. Top Shop has had a collection box here for a number of years now, which has collected a considerable amount of money for us.
The journey then continued a few miles up the road to the Belmont Bull Public House in Belmont. The pub Landlord kindly has a collection box for us. Also the team often call here on Wednesday nights for a well earned drink if we have been training in the area. Pictured alongside the Hummer is the Landlord and Team Members Chris and Matthew.
The final stop was the cafe at the Great House Barn in Lever Park,Rivington. The staff here have been very supportive over the years allowing us to hold collections here and also keeping a collection box for us which raises a lot of money for the team. Pictured in front of the Barn are two members of staff with Chris and Matthew.
