Today we were pleased to receive a kind donation of £60 from the Bolton South District Scouts 7th Weekend Activity Challenge 2008 event, more commonly known to us as the “Pike View Hike”.

This follows our involvement and general help with the event which was held this year on Saturday April 26th.

The chairman of the event, Paul Mather, extended very kind comments to the team in a letter accompanying the donation.

The team is very pleased to be associated with this event, which over the course of a weekend brings together Scouts locally and nationally to sample the delights of our local moorlands on a challenge hike event.

Next year’s event will be held on Saturday 25th April 2009 and will once more see the team lending its usual support.
