On Sunday June 30th 2013, the team was called to assist Bowland Pennine MRT and Lancashire Constabulary in the search for a missing 23 years old Leyland man, Daniel Woods.

Bowland Pennine MRT had been involved in this search since the previous day, and Bowland Pennine MRT members sadly located the body of Daniel Woods during the search on Sunday.

Today we are able to report the receipt of a thankyou card and a kind thoughtful letter from Karen Woods, the mother of the late Daniel Woods.

In the card, Karen thanks all involved in the search for her son, whilst in her letter she states that “You all do a fantastic job, thankyou.”

Very kindly, a small number of donations were enclosed with the card and letter from Karen Woods, totalling £375.00 to Bolton MRT and Bowland Pennine MRT.

From these donations each team will receive a thoughtful and sincere £187.50p to the ever lasting memory of the late Daniel Woods.

The entire memberships of Bolton MRT and Bowland Pennine MRT wish to extend their heartfelt condolences to Karen Woods, her family and those who knew Daniel.
