At 00:40 this morning our Team Leader was contacted direct by a GMP Missing Person Search Manager with regards to an urgent search for a missing 93 year old woman in the Leigh area, giving Police cause for her wellbeing.

A full team callout was paged at 00:46 and 22 team members immediately responded. Whilst the team was preparing for the search our Team Leader was again contacted by the Police at 01:00 with the news that the missing woman had been found by Police officers who were searching areas immediately adjacent to the woman’s home.

The missing woman was found in a semi-concious and hypothermic state, and the team was immediately stood down at 01:05 as the responding ambulance was able to access the casualty without any difficulty.
