Shortly after 15:00 this afternoon the team was contacted by NWAS (Greater Manchester Area) who requested the our assistance as part of their step-up resource plan given a high incident loading on their immediate resources available.
Two Bolton MRT Landrover ambulances were put at the disposal of NWAS (GMA) and 9 incidents were dealt with (4 code Red, 2 code Amber and 3 code Green). One vehicle was stood down at 22:30, the second at 23:30, upon the news that the high demand on the ambulance service resources had eased.
The incidents were attended in the Bolton, Leigh, Bury and Blakeley areas, entailing road traffic collisions and medical emergencies at home.
The team is happy to support our local communities when NWAS is faced with these Peak Demand situations entailing the implementation of their step-up resource plan.
As usual our thanks are expressed to those NWAS Emergency Ambulance and response crews we worked alongside during the night.
Thanks are also expressed to those at Belle Vue Paramedic Emergency Control who keep us up to date on the many happenings over the course of the evening.
