Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

5th November 2007

This evening our Team Leader Garry Rhodes met with Pat Byrne, Chairman of the Charity Committee of the Rotary Club of Horwich, at our Ladybridge Hall Base/HQ.

Pat was visiting the team to discuss a very kind offer of support from the Rotary Club of Horwich to the team, in particular the possibilities of Horwich Rotary purchasing an item or items of equipment for the team.

During the course of Pat’s two hour long visit to the team our Team Leader went through various items on our current ’shopping list’ giving Pat plenty to report back to the next meeting of Horwich Rotary Club.

During the visit Garry our Team Leader, explained how the team came about and the role it now plays in support of the Fire, Police and Ambulance services throughout the whole of the local community.

Garry also took the opportunity to give Pat a quick oversight of our equipment resources and in particular our two Landrover Ambulances based at our Ladybridge premises.

At the conclusion of Pat’s ’fact finding’ visit, Garry extended an open invitation to the Rotarians of Horwich Rotary to vist the team, and to consider taking part in a mock Mountain Rescue with the team on the moors above Horwich.

At this early stage of support of the team by the Rotary Club of Horwich, the team wishes to thank the Horwich Rotarians for so kindly agreeing to help us.
