This evening at the start of our weekly meeting night, we welcomed a visit by our highly valued supportive friends of the Rotary Club of Bolton Lever, to our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ.
Their President Rebecca Harrison, along with her colleague Rotarians Maureen and John Ashworth and Secretary Richard Cooper, all from Bolton Lever Rotary Club attended tonight to present us with a wonderful cheque donation, arising out of the Rotarians work in providing assistance to the Ironman UK 2012 (Bolton) Event, and linked to competitors raising sponsorship for Rotary supported causes and charities, and in turn the Rotary Club of Bolton Lever nominating (Successfully) Bolton MRT to be one of the charity beneficiaries of such monies raised.
Our Team President Bob Hutchinson initially welcomed the four Rotarians from Bolton Lever Rotary Club, who then met with our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE who in turn introduced them to our Chairman Craig Lamb.
Accepting their very kind donation of £567.00 in front of the assembled team membership, Bob, Craig and Garry thanked the Rotarians for their continued valued kindness in supporting the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
Our President Bob Hutchinson then went on to give the Rotarians a full tour of our Base / HQ, and all our vehicles (Which were present tonight being valeted for the 999 Display Day tomorrow)
Rotary Club of Bolton Lever President Rebecca Harrison was particularly interested in viewing our brand new Incident Control Vehicle, which at the time of her last visit to us on 8th February 2011 (When she was in post as Chair of Community, Bolton Lever Rotary Club) was nothing but a paper project of ours, and a dream of things yet to come.
The team welcomes its links with, and the tremendous support we receive, from all the local Rotary Clubs, and once again we find ourselves in the ‘nice’ position of being able to say thank you to all at the Rotary Club of Bolton Lever for helping us in this thoughtful manner.
Please also see website ‘News’ reports dated 8th February 2011, and 26th September 2007, when the Rotary Club of Bolton Lever respectively donated to us the wonderfully kind amounts of £350.00 and £500.00.
