Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

22nd May 2007

On Tuesday 22nd May Life Vice President, Tony McNally, attended a meeting of the Bolton Lions at the Watermillock Hotel.

The Lions presented the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team with a cheque for £1,000 pounds. The donation followed a visit to the Team’s headquarters at Ladybridge Hall earlier in the year.

Tony McNally, accept the fantastic donation form Jim Wells

In presenting the cheque to the Team Lion’s President, Jim Wells, congratulated the Team on the work it undertook. Jim Wells expressed a wish that the donation should be used by the Team to purchase medical equipment and in thanking the Lions for their generosity, Tony McNally stressed that the real beneficiaries would be those people to whom the Rescue Team was called upon to assist.

This large £1,000.00 donation will be used specifically against the purchase of six new Leg traction splints, to equip each of our six Trauma Sacs, utilised when we are required to provide immediate casualty care to an injured person at an incident.
