The Team was contacted at 18:11 Hrs by North West Ambulance Service (Greater Manchester Area) for a young female who had fallen from a rope swing, near to the canal in Little Lever.

The North West Air Ambulance Helimed 08 and a NWAS (GMA) Rapid Response Vehicle had also been dispatched to this incident, by NWAS (GMA) Control. Our first Team member arrived on scene at the same time as the NWAS (GMA) RRV, closely followed by our responding vehicles.

The young girl was found to have fallen onto rocks and had query lower back injuries. With this in mind we fully imobilised the casualty with a spine board and head blocks and then offered painkilling gases. She was carried some 150M to the NWAA Helimed 08 and onward carriage to Royal Bolton Hospital.

With the departure of Helimed 08 the Team was stood down at 19:04 Hrs and vehicles returned to their base locations.
