At 12:56 early this afternoon NWAS (Greater Manchester Area) paged the team, requesting assistance in a Peak Demand situation with emergency calls exceeding their available resources. (Our colleagues in Oldham MRT were also contacted)
One Team vehicle with a two man crew was made immediately available and was joined late afternoon by a further Team vehicle with a three man crew.
From mid-evening four other Team members were available at base in case of additional calls and also to write up the official incident reports.
In total during the day three Code Green, three Code Amber & two Code Red calls were resourced by the Team, mainly in the Bolton & Leigh areas, but also out to Salford, Whalley Range & Ramsbottom.
Our base operation was concluded at 23:30 Hrs following completion of all the reports. (Thanks to NWAS (GMA) Paramedic Emergency Control for their ready help and assistance during this period)
