Our Team Leader was contacted initially by Rossendale and Pendle MRT regards assistance with an on going missing person search enquiry in the Blackburn area, where it was felt the use of our Kayak/Canoe Search Unit might be appropriate.

This led to the involvement this afternoon of two team members, one of whom is our Deputy Leader Geoff Seddon, in a search of the River Darwen and the Blakewater areas in Blackburn, alongside the Lancashire Constabulary Underwater Search Unit.

The search was inconclusive and Police enquiries into the dissappearance of this 30 years old Blackburn man are continuing.
