Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

20th July 2013

In glorious sunshine today, the team attended GMFRS Wigan Fire Station Open Day, which attracted a great number of interested visitors, young and old alike, to this busy Fire Station.

We attended with two of our Mountain Rescue Land Rover Ambulance vehicles, radio call signs BM1 and BM3, and our still (Almost) brand new Incident Control Vehicle, radio call sign BM6.

Eleven team Call Out list members attended today, which saw GMFRS exhibiting the based Fire Appliances and others from within GMFRS, including their Water Rescue Unit.

Demonstrations included GMFRS Fire Cadets carrying out hose laying drills and RTC extrication procedures by GMFRS Firefighters.

Thanks to the kindness of the many visitors to our display we received £12.00 in donations.

The team would like to thank Geoff Thornley, GMFRS Station Manager at GMFRS Wigan Fire Station for his kind invitation to attend todays Wigan Fire Station Open Day.
