Early evening GMAS contacted the Team Leader regards assistance at a moorland RTA, the location of which was initially unclear, but near the Rivington area. Our Team Leader gave GMAS advice as to the probable location, and immediately contacted three team members who live near the Rivington area, requesting them to respond. LAS were also jointly responding, and an ambulance from Chorley ambulance station arrived on scene first, at the Hordern Stoops location, with GMAS being stood down responding. Our three members arrived to be stood down on scene within 10 minutes of receiving the call. The 28 year old male motorcyclist involved was treated on site by LAS for knee and hip grazes, but declined to be taken to hospital.
