At 15:57 Hrs Lancashire Ambulance Service paged the team for assistance at an emergency on the A675 North of Belmont. There had been a 2 car RTA and sadly three persons had died, as Helimed 08 the Air Ambulance, had been dispatched and given the moorland location of the accident, the Team was contacted for assistance. The Lancashire Constabulary Air Support Unit was also involved with this incident as well.

At 16:06 Hrs we were stood down, as the resources from LAS were able to deal with this horrific accident. As is the way with Call Outs like this, members were already responding to man the vehicles at our bases and also responding directly as the stand down message was paged.
