Whilst providing navigation instruction to members of Bolton Countryside Ranger Service at Smithills Country Park, the two team members present were requested by on-scene staff to attend to a visitor in the nearby cafe buildings, who was suffering from a fit. Fortunately, one of the rangers under instruction was an off-duty GMAS paramedic, who together with the two team members provided care for the man involved, up to the arrival of an ambulance.
