Commencing at 08:00 in the morning!, 18 team members in four team vehicles supplied standby rescue cover for the Darwen Masters organised Darwen Triathlon, with the team providing cover (obviously) for the fell race section over the lower slopes of Darwen moor, and the road cycle event. 88 triathletes took part in less than ideal conditions, thankfully with no incident. The event concluded just before 1pm where team members went straight onto the next reported event.
