We were saddened to find out that ex Team member and former Team leader Derek Mottershead died peacefully at his Urmston home on Thursday 14th April.

Derek joined the Team shortly after its formation in 1968 and was Team leader from early 1969 through to September 1973. Two Team members still remain in the Team from that time, Alan (General)James and Geoff Seddon, both fondly remember Dereks leadership in the early formative years of the Team. To most of the Team, we came to know Derek through his attendances at recent annual Team dinners and at the opening of our Ladybridge base last year, an event Derek took great personal pride in attending as a guest of honour.

The thoughts and condolences of the entire Team membership, past and present, are extended to Dereks son Paul, his daughter in law, grandchildren, family & friends.
