Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

20th March 2005

At 13:16 GMAS contacted the team during a peak demand period to request our attendance at a domestic address incident in Horwich, with the report of an elderly woman suffering chest pains. 2 team vehicles with 5 team members in total on board, which were very close to the house address responded immediately. Fortunately a GMAS Ambulance and RV vehicle also became available during the call and on scene the incident was handed over to GMAS after three team members in the first responding vehicle had begun initial treatment including the administration of aspirin and oxygen. The casualty was taken to Royal Bolton Hospital by GMAS.

The team is always happy to assist GMAS in these occassional peak demand periods.
