At 18:02, GMP contacted the team for assistance with a missing 68 year old man in the Abram area of Wigan. The man who is resident on a canal boat on Leeds – Liverpool canal, was reported missing to Police late the previous evening, sparking off a Police Helicopter and Police Underwater Search Unit being deployed. As the Team Leader was collecting information from the Police search manager involved, news came in that man had been located by the Police. The team was stood down at 18:22.
