With overnight snow falls leading to early morning snow and icy road conditions, GMAS contacted the Team Leader at 07:45 hours regarding the availibilty of the team if needed to immediately assist GMAS in view of the wintry conditions existing and forecasted. Shortly afterwards, in consultation with GMAS control, 2 team vehicles were placed on manned standby at our LBH base headquarters. Throughout the morning our Team Leader remained in contact with both Ambulance and Police controls. By lunchtime with temperatures rising the road problems no longer existed and the team was stood down (6 members and 2 team vehicles were involved).
