At 13.39hrs, knowing us to be in the local area, NWAS (Manchester) EOC Parkway directly contacted our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, regarding a serious emergency call on the outskirts of the Horwich area.

With the team being in a position to immediately respond and be on scene possibly before the available responding NWAS resources, our BM3 Land Rover Ambulance was despatched to the nearby residential address, arriving on scene shortly thereafter to the report of a male collapsed.

An NWAS responding Response Car then arrived very quickly, soon followed by an NWAS Emergency Ambulance, but sadly the male involved was declared deceased on scene.

The team’s sincere condolences are expressed to the family of the man involved.
