Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

26th April 2003

Not wishing to be out done by our Team Leader, Garry ’I have lots of shiny medals’ Rhodes. It’s with great pleasure we can announce that our Deputy Team Leader & MR newbie Geoff Seddon is to be awarded the Horwich Civic Award. Its one of three awards being made and Geoff who has been a member of the Team for 34 years, is quoted as saying ’the most memorable rescue was more than ten years ago when I found a little boy who had been missing overnight’. Now we are not sure if he’s referring to finding his son Tom at a friends house or Christopher Holmes in an all night search in the Trough of Bowland. Anyhow congratulations Geoff you deserve it. Obviously a fuller report and possibly a picture will appear after the event.
