Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

20th March 2003

Reflecting the times we now live in, and representing our ever closer links with GMAS, in mid March five of our senior team members, including both our leaders, attended GMAS Decontamination Practitioner Courses held at Ladybridge Hall Training School and Bury Ambulance station. 3 members attended the full two day course, and two attended as observers on the 2nd day only (still very much hands on though). Our attendance, along with GMAS road crews, dealt with decontamination procedures in the event of a CBRN incident (including those of a non-terrorist nature). In such major incidents, the team would have a supporting role to play alongside the Ambulance service, and this course allowed our team officers to view (and practice hands on) what could be a part of an overall response.
