Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

24th May 2013

Our 3.5m Semi Rigid Inflatable SAR Boat was recently found to have some base of hull tears and rips, incurred on recent exercises.

Yesterday (Thursday) our Team Training Officer Dave Marsh took the boat for a repair inspection visit to North West RIBS and Inflatables of White Arrow Logistics Park, Walthew House Lane, Wigan.

Dave met with David Cowell, Director of NW RIBS and Inflatables, who kindly agreed there and then to carry out immediate repairs, in view of the emergency use to which our SAR Boat is put to.

Today all repairs were completed, and with the collection of our SAR Boat, it was put back once more into full operational service.

The Bolton MRT would like to extend its fullest thanks to David Cowell of North West RIBS and Inflatables for arranging to carry out all necessary repairs to our SAR Boat very quickly.
