Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

16th October 2013

This afternoon our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE received a fifth very kind email about this weekends Foundation Course in Mountain Rescue, this time from Simon Lane, Team Leader of Cheshire Search and Rescue Team;

“Dear Garry,
I would like to thank you, your team and all of the faculty and support staff for inviting us to attend the Mountain Rescue Foundation course.”

“This was the seventh time that we have attended and as CSAR is just under ten years old this is testament to the fact that you have supported us from a very early stage in our teams development. This on going support was clearly evident to our seven new members that attended who were made to feel most welcome.”

“The course its-self was once again a huge success and the experience and professionalism of the instructors enthused the candidates from beginning to end despite the late nights and occasional alcoholic drink.”

“All of our members that attended were extremely positive about the course and enjoyed it immensely and given the amount that they are still talking about it I already have a list of names of people that want to attend next year.”

“Our members that attended are still posting comments and pictures of the course on social media three days on and they include:

  • “…absolutely fantastic! Very proud to be a member of such a unique group of people, all dedicated to learning new skills and saving lives.”
  • “Had a fantastic weekend completing the course”
  • “Had what can only be described as an amazing and fun weekend at the Bolton Mountain Rescue Course…”

I would be most grateful if you could pass on our sincere thanks to everyone involved and I will no doubt see you soon. Best regards,
Simon Lane,
Team Leader,
Cheshire Search & Rescue Team.”
