1st May 2013

On Wednesday 13th March 2013, we reported within our website on twenty two team members taking part in the written examination for their MREW Mountain Rescue Casualty Care Course, the culmination of many months of training and study, held within the teams training programme.

Eighteen team members passed this exacting written paper, with two members resitting and passing the written paper on Thursday 28th March 2013.

On Wednesday 27th March 2013, twenty one team members (From the 22x who had sat their written paper on 13th March) took their final examination under the MREW Mountain Rescue Casualty Care Course, namely the two part Medical and Trauma Scenario tests, which constituted both practical and oral aspects.

We were very happy to report at the time that all twenty one team members who took their examinations on 27th March, successfully passed, so at present within the team we have twenty Team Call Out list members who are the proud recipients of the MREW Mountain Rescue Casualty Care Course Certificate, which is valid for three years.

This evening a further group of Team Call Out list members sat their written examination for their MREW Mountain Rescue Casualty Care Course, which will be followed on Wednesday 15th May 2013 by their two part Medical and Trauma Scenario test examinations, which constitute both practical and oral aspects.

Fifteen of the team call Out list members who sat their written examination tonight successfully passed the paper.

Other team members are scheduled to sit their written examination on Friday 3rd May, prior to joining their colleagues for the 15th May 2013 practical’s.
