Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

27th September 2013

Very experienced and long serving team member Chris Tennant has always maintained an active interest in our close colleagues within our sister organisation, the Association of Lowland Search and Rescue and its constituent teams, extending this interest in to taking part in some exercises with Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue Team, when visiting his family back in his native Norfolk.

Keen to gain a further insight in to ALSAR and its training, Chris recently accepted an invitation to ‘go back to school’ and take a full part in an ALSAR approved ‘Basic Search Technicians Course’ organised by Cheshire Search and Rescue Team.

This evening Chris departed for the Sandiway, Cheshire, venue of this residential weekend ‘basic Search Technicians Course, being organised by Cheshire Search and Rescue Team, for their new members.

Chris stated how much he was looking forward to this weekend, and being able to gain an insight in to ALSAR search training compares with the search training he has received over the years as a long serving Call Out list member of our team.
