Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

24th September 2013

On three lowland search incidents and one upland search incident attended by the team ‘just’ during September to date, our team members have expended 815.5 person hours on these operations, on standby, during the actual search or stood down responding.

This is equivalent to one person spending 4.8 weeks of continuous time on call!

Search incidents responded to include locations in Wardley, Swinton, Hordern Stoops on Anglezarke Moor, Radcliffe and Hindsford, Tyldesley.

Of course these figures exclude time spent in September involved in training, fundraising, demonstrations, lectures, administration, maintenance of search and rescue equipment, cleaning our vehicles and Base / Headquarters, oh and somewhere along the way our members have their full time jobs to go to, and their families to look after!
