Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

19th March 2013

Further to our recent reports on our website regarding the progress of the ’production’ of our new Incident Control Vehicle, today four members from our Incident Control Vehicle project team, met with Coleman Milne of Wigan Road, Westhoughton, who are building this specialist vehicle, as part of a regular series of meetings to discuss the on going build.

Over lunchtime, Steven Fletcher our Equipment Officer, Communication & Lighting (Encompassing all things technical and IT) visited to ’drop off’ more technical equipment for installation and to review and discuss the communications and IT fit of the vehicle.

Later in the day Incident Control Vehicle Project Team Leader Martin Banks, Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, and Chris Greenhalgh our Equipment Officer (Vehicles) met with Simon Baxendale of Coleman Milne to finalise the rear storage area design, decaling layouts and welfare facilities (Which includes an internal toilet)

With the majority of the specification discussed and agreed Coleman Milne can now take the build forward towards the anticipated delivery to us in late April 2013.

Our next ‘review’ visit will be in early April.

This new addition to our vehicle fleet even in its construction phase already looks a very impressive vehicle, which will considerably enhance our team capabilities.
